The morning of January 18th found an Assembly room full of sisters, family and friends gathered to Initiate our newest member SAMANTHA! We are so excited to kick off the new year with such a great girl! She has already been installed as an officer and is visiting Waco with us on Saturday. She is already learning her work and is looking forward to attending Mid-Year and watching the Grand Floor Officers perform Initiation. Congratulations Samantha and welcome to Austin #5!
The packing list for Mid-Year is posted on the Files page. We will discuss the final details at tonight's meeting.
I hope everyone can attend as we will be discussing Grand Assembly and conducting our annual Youth Protection Program.
The meeting will start promptly at 7pm
I have emailed everyone a list of their parts for this Saturday's Initiation, Installation and Grand Officer's Reception. Initiation is closed to parents, guardians, majority members and members of the Masonic Fraternities but you can invite other friends and family to attend our Installation. Ask them to arrive at the Lodge at 12:30 as we'll begin at 12:45. Dress for friends and family is as follows: Ladies - short dress and Men - collared shirts and ties.
Practice, practice, practice your Initiation parts so we make a good impression for Samantha. Mrs. Weaver and our GWA Cheryl will be there to help us out. We have many people attending - Burleson, Arlington, Waco, New Braunfels - to assist us. Please respond to the email so I know you understand. Thanks and have a great week!
School has started after a relaxing (I hope) holiday break. It also marks the halfway point of our Grand Assembly year!
Mid-year is in just a few weeks - no one let me know whether of not they were competing in the Ceremony competition last night - you have until 8 pm tonight to let me know so I can register you for competition. The Achievement room will also be open and I encourage everyone to practice the obligation, traditional work and the questions so Austin #5 can come home with 100% participation/achievement.
I have challenged each of the families in the Assembly to bring a new member into the Assembly this year. Achieve this by June 1st and win a day of fun after Grand Assembly..tick tock!!
January 18th is a BIG day - long formal for Rainbow Girls and Grand Adults (female) and jacket/tie for men. Short dresses for other females and collared shirt, tie and slacks for men.
Check the calendar so you can inform me which events or activities you will be attending and don't forget that dues are due NOW and that the $93 for Mid-year is do no later than the next meeting, January 22nd.

We had a FANTASTIC year in our Assembly and I know we can accomplish even more this year!!
The calendar gives you a list of our activities until June and will be updated as new information comes available. The dress code and meeting activities will help you be prepared for each meeting. Please bring your Ritual and Binder to each meeting - Bow bucks begin at the next meeting!
Grand Assembly will be here before we know it and there will be a "kick-off" meeting on January 29th where we will discuss schedules, fundraising and costs. Please plan to attend with a parent so we can address your questions.
Our goals for this year will be membership. Wouldn't it be a beautiful site seeing the Bow full of members at every meeting??? If each member brings in one new member, we would have 12 girls sitting on the floor. I challenge each of you to invite a girl to join in on our fun! We have postcards available and will have Prospect Parties scheduled every other month. Share our website or Facebook page with them today!
