It was a great year for Austin #5 during GWA Allison's term of "Paradise in Rainbow." Mimi (Gr. Service), Sierra (Gr, Conf. Obs./Rep. to AZ/NM) and Taylor (Gr. Outer Obs.) did wonderful in their ritual work!! Ivy and Madison served as Personal Pages to Sierra and Taylor. Ivy and Samantha dressed up for the Cavalcade of Flags representing Arizona and New Mexico - great costumes! Makayla lead us with a prayer at the Awards luncheon. Mimi, Taylor, Sierra, Madison and Ivy earned their A/B, Makayla earned her Obligation (first timer) and Samantha did all (even the questions) but a few sentences at the end of traditional - so close!
We had a few surprises at appointments and are excited for the upcoming year! Mimi was elected Grand Hope, Sierra was appointed Grand Immortality, Mrs. Cecil was appointed to the Grand Committee, Mr, Hall is returning as a Grand COW and Mrs. Hall remains our Grand Deputy - we are so excited to begin our year "On the Road with Texas Rainbow" under our new GWA Emily from Waco #18.

![]() I hope everyone can join us at the Garage sale on Saturday where we will sell your gently used treasures and raise money for our Assembly. The Grand Assembly Parent meeting will be held in conjunction with Wacky Wednesday - watch for an email Sunday night confirming our location. We will finalize our last fund raising project to assist the Assembly with GA costs. ![]() Spring has officially arrived and while the weather isn't reflecting what the calendar tells us, none the less, Spring has Sprung! Both our "No Show" Tea Party and 2nd annual Memorial Day Brisket sale are in full swing and we are wrapping up the bracelet sales. Why all of this fundraising, you may ask??? Grand Assembly is just around the corner and in an effort to assist families, we are providing girls the opportunity to earn their way! If you want to help us out and haven't seen one of our members at your meeting you can do one of two things: 1) Call the Mother Advisor and invite the girls to come and present our "Veteran's Appreciation" program, Masonic Ribbon Ceremony or our "What is Rainbow" presentation or if time is short, you can go to our Fundraising tab on the right where you can purchase your brisket (1/2 or whole) or participate in our Tea Party her on our website. It's secure and provides you with a receipt. Enjoy the weather, the singing birds and the days as they grow longer! ![]() The packing list for Mid-Year is posted on the Files page. We will discuss the final details at tonight's meeting. I hope everyone can attend as we will be discussing Grand Assembly and conducting our annual Youth Protection Program. The meeting will start promptly at 7pm “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” — Walt Disney![]() We had a FANTASTIC year in our Assembly and I know we can accomplish even more this year!! The calendar gives you a list of our activities until June and will be updated as new information comes available. The dress code and meeting activities will help you be prepared for each meeting. Please bring your Ritual and Binder to each meeting - Bow bucks begin at the next meeting! Grand Assembly will be here before we know it and there will be a "kick-off" meeting on January 29th where we will discuss schedules, fundraising and costs. Please plan to attend with a parent so we can address your questions. Our goals for this year will be membership. Wouldn't it be a beautiful site seeing the Bow full of members at every meeting??? If each member brings in one new member, we would have 12 girls sitting on the floor. I challenge each of you to invite a girl to join in on our fun! We have postcards available and will have Prospect Parties scheduled every other month. Share our website or Facebook page with them today! |
