Let's help raise money for the Supreme Temple by purchasing Luggage Tags. The challenge is to see which Assembly can get their orders to Mrs. Weaver first!
Each tag is $5 and will be picked up by our own Mrs. Weaver when she attends Supreme Seminar (No shipping charges). Call Mrs. Cecil and order yours today! We'll collect money from everyone at the next meeting.
The front of the tag will have the picture above and your name and address will be on the back.
Sell to anyone who supports Rainbow - the girl who sells the most in Austin Assembly will get a prize!! Money is due February 11th!
We had a great Installation last night! Big thank you to our Installing Officers! Sierra presented Mrs. Patton with a bowl made by Mr. Lidback as a thank you for all of her work during the last year while serving as Mother Advisor.
We took several car loads of girls and advisory board members up Friday night - Mr. and Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Cecil, Mrs. Patton, Mrs. Schlieve as well as Kembra, Mimi, Taylor, Sierra, Caitlin and Madison.
Saturday morning was early for some as the Grand Assembly room had to be set up and the Grand Officers needed to get to the Hella Shrine Temple to begin practice.
There were crafts, the Achievement room and a tasty lunch before the afternoon session began. Taylor and Mimi did very well on their ritual work - we are so proud.
San Antonio #3 won the most initiates since July 1st - I challenge Austin to win it in June! Reach out to your friends and share the fun of Rainbow!!
This season's See's sales are rapping up - contact us if you haven't ordered yours! OR if you'd like to make a donation instead, we will be sending candy to some of the ships serving overseas during the holidays.
This is one of the fundraisers for our Grand Assembly trip and we appreciate your support!!
Austin #5 will be selling See's Candy again this year. You can begin taking orders (and collecting payment) as soon as you get an order form from Mrs. Patton or you can download the form from the Files section on our website. This fundraiser is to support our Grand Assembly travel expenses. It has been very successful and people look forward to the sale every year. If they have never tried See's, they are in for a treat! Sales will run until November 1st so we can get our order back right after Thanksgiving.
Despite significant improvements in literacy rates globally, today there are still 781 million adults and 126 million youths who cannot read or write a simple sentence – two-thirds of whom are women. These numbers weigh heavily on global efforts to alleviate poverty.
How can a Rainbow Girl help? Take a moment to read to a younger friend or find a favorite book and read with a grandparent, taking turns reading...enjoy the adventures that come through reading and share them with a friend this week..this small act of service will, with the ripple effect, touch so many lives!

The 2014 Girls Leadership Conference was recently held at the Scottish Rite Dormitory next to UT Austin's campus. It is always a treat to stay here allowing the girls a taste of dorm living. They enjoyed crafts, free time, opportunities to develop their leadership skills, group photos, and a devotional Sunday morning. I know the girls enjoyed visiting with their friends and making new friends with girls from all over the state, as this year had the largest attendance with 42 girls!! Thank you Mrs. Seymour, Tiffany and Holly for a great weekend - I know our girls had a great time!!
A new year has begun for Texas Grand Assembly and Austin No. 5 came home with many achievements - the girls' hard work really paid off and we had a great time!! A big thanks to Mrs. Schlieve, Mrs. Mathews and Mrs. Raeze for chaperoning and to Mr. Patton for surviving his first time in the Achievement room where Mimi and Taylor earned their A/B buttons and Caitlin, Samantha, Madison and Ivy earned their Merit bar for reciting their obligation!!!
